Alaine moved back to Jamaica in the summer of 2004 to focus on her own music.
It was in the summer of 2004 that Alaine returned to Jamaica to focus on her own music again. Her breakthrough single was “No Ordinary Love” which was released in 2005. It can be said that she has recorded several hit songs such as ‘Deeper’, ‘Dreaming of You’, ‘Sacrifice’, ‘Rise in Love’, ‘Born To Win’, ‘Bye, Bye, Bye’, and ‘You are Me’. Earlier this year, she released her debut album, titled Sacrifice, which was published in early 2008. A Japanese version of her album, Luv A Dub was published in August 2009 in Japan. The release of Ten of Hearts took place in 2015.
There is no doubt that she has performed all over the world, garnering a huge following in many East African countries. In addition to collaborating with the who’s who of reggae music, she has had success working with a number of other artists such as Shaggy, Beres Hammond, Beenie Man, and many others. Aside from co-writing the hit songs ‘Gimmie Likkle One Drop’ and ‘Wanty Wanty’ with Tarrus Riley, she also composed the chart-topping song ‘Tight Skirt’ for Samantha J. She also wrote the hit song ‘Automatic’ for legendary reggae artist Marcia Griffiths.
Her first independently produced and released song, ‘You Are Me’, was inspired by the incursion that took place in Jamaica’s Tivoli Gardens the week before the song was released. Alaine draws the attention of readers to the fact that we are all one. If we treat each other in the same way that we treat ourselves, a lot of the world’s ills could be healed.
A new video has been released by Alaine for her hit song ‘You Give Me Hope’. There’s no doubt about the fact that she is a resident judge on Jamaica’s number one talent search show ‘Digicel Rising Stars’. Her upbeat personality and beautiful energy have cemented her in the hearts of Jamaicans and many fans worldwide. Her acting and comedic abilities have been getting increased exposure on her Instagram page as she displays her creative abilities acting and singing as a variety of different characters.
